Terminal 2 (now owned by Sydney Airport Corporation) is the second largest terminal facility at Sydney Airport (in terms of gates) and is host to three domestic airlines (Jetstar, Virgin Blue, Qantaslink) and four regional airlines (Regional Express, Aeropelican, AirLink Airlines and Big Sky Express) accommodating approximately 3,800 passengers per hour.
Capital Insight was Project Director, Project Manager and Contract Superintendent for the $200 + million upgrade of the facility. This difficult project involved constructing the new terminal on the site previously occupied by the old facilities and was completed within budget whilst ensuring continuity of operations for all airlines and retail tenants without delay to passengers.
