Centre for Basic and Translational Research | Centenary Institute The Centenary Institute is a leading medical research facility located in the grounds of the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPA) and adjacent to the University of Sydney's Camperdown campus. The Institute consists of approximately 150 career investigators, trainees and support staff, whose research focuses on a diverse range of health issues facing the community including cancer, heart disease, infectious diseases, immunity, genetic diseases, and liver disease. Capital Insight was engaged by the Centenary Institute to prepare a business case for the development of the Centre for Basic and Translational Cancer Research (CBTCR). The CBTCR will be a world-class facility (consisting of wet and dry research and specialist centred on the interaction and collaboration between researchers, clinicians and educators, focusing on basic cancer research and its translation into clinical practice. A number of options were explored by Capital Insight during the development of the business case to meet the Institute's projected growth to 2016. |
