Inner West Health Centre |  NSW Health and Sydney South West AHS

The Inner West Health Centre (IWHC) is an innovative public-private partnership between the NSW State Government (through the South Sydney West Area Health Service), Catholic Health Care Services and Bovis Lend Lease.

Capital Insight provided strategic and asset planning services to the Area Health Service as part of its Program Director role. Those services included the identification and management of opportunities for privately financed projects to service aged care and psychogeriatric needs in the eastern sector of the Sydney South West catchment. The resulting project meets the needs of the target groups and brings significant capital and recurrent benefits to the Area Health Service.

The development provides an integrated solution on a large (almost 3 hectares) site, combining a community health centre, mental health rehabilitation services, special care nursing home, aged care nursing home and hostel and step-up/step-down independent and assisted living accommodation. The extensive range of community services available through the IWHC includes dental, early childhood, physiotherapy, podiatry, post-acute care, community nursing, and child, adolescent and family health.

The IWHC provides contemporary community-based public health and aged care services, and includes key elements of the Government's strategy for improving health services for the people of Sydney's inner-west. Capital Insight’s role also included project management services for the delivery of the public health facilities.
