Lifehouse at RPA - The Chris O'Brien Cancer Centre  |  Lifehouse at RPA Limited

In 2008, Capital Insight completed a business case for the Sydney Cancer Centre Foundation that recommended moving the existing Sydney Cancer Centre services into a new organisation that would have its own facilities. Lifehouse at RPA - The Chris O'Brien Cancer Centre, as the facility has been named, is a unique concept in Australia. It will provide an integrated cancer service combining clinical treatment for all cancer types with cancer research and education under the single entity.

Lifehouse will operate in partnership with the Sydney South West Area Health Service, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and the University of Sydney to provide an integrated cancer centre for New South Wales.  Lifehouse will generate partnerships with other research groups, network partners and equipment suppliers and is likely to become a research and trials site for new technologies.

Stage A of the development will deliver a cancer services and research facility on the site of the existing Page Chest Pavilion and Brown Street Outpatient buildings of approximately 24,000 square metres.

Capital Insight is Project Director and Project Manager for the project that will have a strong focus on ambulatory care, day-only interventional procedures and associated diagnostic/support activities.  The new building will also accommodate cancer focused research groups including cancer clinical trials and tissue banking facilities.
