Capital Insight was engaged by The University of New South Wales Facilities Management (UNSWFM) group to develop a Building Contractor Register Scheme for capital works valued between $100,000 and $10,000,000.  The scheme will prequalify building contractors, who may then be invited to tender on works associated with building and construction projects.

Capital Insight's role included:

• undertaking a review of the feasible options for the development of the Scheme

• producing a Scope Definition Plan to document the aims, objectives and process of the Scheme

• developing user guidelines

• developing a performance management system for the University and the contractor

• providing user training and assistance

• production of documentation to invite contractors to apply to the Scheme

• acting as an independent facilitator during application evaluation

• assisting in the review of building contracts and the agreements relating to the Scheme.
