Jane Foss Russell Building (USYD Central) | The University of Sydney The new $68 million Jane Foss Russell Building provides a new 'front door' for the University of Sydney and acts as a key physical link in the University's Campus 2010+ Building for the Future Program, for which Capital Insight was also Project Director and Project Manager. Capital Insight was Project Director and Project Manager for this project, which incorporates a new library, retail facilities, student services facilities and act as the main pedestrian axis connecting access from Redfern Station with the Camperdown campus. As part of the project, five existing libraries (architecture, engineering, geosciences, mathematics and physics) are relocated in a new $16 million Sciences and Technology Library. The facility has a gross floor area of approximately 12,850 square metres and is linked to the Camperdown Campus via a new pedestrian footbridge over City Road. The facility enabled the collocation of 15 administrative departments previously dispersed throughout the campus.
