Electron Microscope Unit | The University of Sydney

Capital Insight was Project Manager for the Electron Microscope Unit (EMU) upgrade project which included the development of additional research offices, staff facilities, laboratories and associated works for the EMU in the heritage listed Madsen Building on the University of Sydney's Camperdown Campus.

The project included:

• additional research rooms

• upgrade of common room

• renovation of foyer entrance

• three new electron microscopes for research

• new specimen preparation rooms

• two new PC2 laboratories

• four new live cell imaging rooms

• new air conditioning (positive/negative powersave)

• water leak detection system

• shielding to EMU laboratories

• audio visual services

• installation of specialist balance benches for experiments.
