Capital Insight's verification audit service has evolved from a compliance approach to a predominantly risk-based audit approach that can be complemented with compliance audits if required. This approach recognises that a risk-based audit is the most efficient and effective approach for identifying the diverse range of risks that pose the greatest threat to a successful project and for reviewing the processes for managing these risks. Our verification auditors have diverse experience in the fields of contract administration, risk management, procurement and project governance, OH&S, environmental management, industrial relations, quality assurance, and in the planning, design and delivery of projects. The audit team can also be supplemented with specialist skills (eg. planners, architects, services engineers, OH&S specialists) to gain maximum value from each audit. Capital Insight has played a key role in the NSW Health Verification Audit Program. This program moved beyond contractor audits to include key project stakeholders (including NSW Health personnel, users, external project managers and other third parties). The approach includes a broader range of issues such as recruitment, user consultation, change management, staff training and procurement of major medical equipment and commissioning that are critical for project success and operational continuity.
